This compact, passive GPS vehicle tracking device is designed as an affordable solution for fleet management and other practical applications.
“Real-time” GPS vehicle tracking units involve monthly fees, since they incorporate satellite and wireless technologies. The 3100-INT will track a car or truck’s speed, route, stops and miles driven, every second, with great accuracy. It involves no more investment than the initial unit purchase, because it works by GPS satellite transmission capture. The location data is stored in the 3100-INT unit’s memory until it is later retrieved with an included download cable, through the USB port to a personal computer. Over 300 hours of information can be stored on the unit’s powerful internal flash memory.
Free software is included with the system, allowing the user to view the data on the computer in a text report, over an animated digital street map or satellite image via Google Earth.
The 3100-INT GPS vehicle tracking system is small and discreet – about the size of a man’s wallet or a bar of soap – but it is powerful. It can operate for about 36 driving hours on a four (4) AA battery charge. It can also be connected to an outside power source such as a cigarette lighter or be hardwired to the vehicle. To save power, it has a motion sensor, so it will go into a sleep mode after a few minutes of inactivity.
The vehicle tracking device has strong magnetic mounts so it can be installed easily, anywhere on the vehicle.
